KLA provided full landscape architectural services for the renovation of the former Sahara Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The new design landscape design deviated from the heavily themed landscape of the Sahara to a sophisticated and contemporary landscape to reflect the Phillip Starck hotel design. Many of the mature palm trees remained or were moved around the site to enhance views into the hotel and a create an active street frontage. KLA worked closely with Gensler and Starck for the layout and design of the key public spaces of the two porte cochere entries and the pool area. The pool functions as a day pool and night pool club.
